Kids are knitting! Come join the fun. Knitting is a great way to encourage creativity and develop motor skills. These sessions enable kids to learn the basics of knitting: casting on, knitting, purling and binding off.  You will knit a felted cell phone cover, eyeglass case or simple coin purse to start!     You will be able to purchase yarn, needles and pattern  for under $15.00 to begin your project.  

Come in and knit hats for donation...most go to the hospitals for newborns but also donations are made for children and families in need.  Make a hat...we have some free yarn and patterns.  Make a lap blanket or something else to donate.

Come join the fun. Knitting is a great way to relax and get stress relief!  Bring in whatever you are stitching and have some fun!

You will learn long tail or knit cast on, knit and purl stitches, garter and stockinette patterns, basic increase and decrease and bind off.  

You may sign up to come in  and receive help with your ongoing project or if you want assistance beginning a new project.  This class is designed to work as an "as needed" and you just pay as you go.

Carolyn Robinson will teach us how to utilize the Sweater Knitting Book written by Ann Budd to make sweaters that fit regardless of the yarn you select.  Learn the technique of converting a pattern requiring seams to one that can be knitted almost seamless.  Not sure how to determine which size fits you?   Regardless of your level if you know how to knit and purl, cast on and bind off you  will benefit from this class. The book is available in the shop.     Bring in some swatch yarn in light colors preferably size 6,7,8 and yarn that fits the needle size.  If you have a couple of live swatches already ready to go...bring them in too!

Always wanted to learn how to lace knit or need to go to the next level or get some help?  

This class will be varied in skill depending on you!  You can do a very simple lace washcloth pattern available in our shop or work on a wonderful intriquet shawl pattern.

Let us know what your experience is if any and we will arrange a project specific to your level.

Colorwork....Intro to Fairisle...see how this technique can enhance your style.   In this Project Class we will complete the hat.....what a great special gift!

Bring two swatches on live needles and small ball of stash in various colors or select a project for the hat.

You tell us what you want to learn tonight.   We can do I cords, Fix its, buttonholes, 3 needles bind off, kitchener's stitch, cables...let us know ahead of time what you want to learn so we can be prepared and we'll just have a fun learning night. You can also just bring in your project  to get help on.

If you are new to short rows~ we recommend bringing in your  swatch yarn to practice on.  We will provide a simple scarf pattern which makes this a fun  project.   This is a great technique for shaping sweaters or tank tops to fit your bodice. 

The stitches you will use are k2tog, p2tog, slipping stitches and wrap and turn.   If you have already purchased a pattern instruction book  please bring it in.

Fixing Mistakes, picking up dropped stitches, unknitting, frogging or ripping it out!  Need help with dropped stitches or fixing holes.   This is a flexible class designed to teach you how to fix simple mistakes.This is the class for you!  We will concentrate on the most common mistakes ...bring in your swatches to work on.

You will learn how to seam together your garment using the kitchener stitch and three needle bind off.  If you are working on a project and need specific help with this area please bring in your pattern and project and we will assist you.   Otherwise bring in some swatches knitted in garter and stockinette to practice on.

Beginners can do this!  Learn the basic cable stitch and work on a simple cable purse or cable scarf.   If you know how to knit and purl  basic stitches you can make these!  Bring in your pattern or select from one in the shop..we have some free ones!

Learn the various techniques of joining new colors and adding balls of yarn together in your project.  Also, you will learn how to weave in your loose ends.  Bring in your swatches and several different colors of stash or the project you are working on.

Colorwork ~This is just an introduction to the two techniques so you can identify the difference ~ try them out in a small way and decide which technique suits you best for your next color change project.  You may already have a pattern that you want to explore. Share it with us and we will help you move forward.  Bring in various colors of your stash and two swatches on live needles so you can try it out.

Choose your level & complete the entire project.Ready to move from scarves or purses into a wearable project? ~ the fun starts here!

We will do a sweater or top knitted in the round from the top down.  You may choose your own pattern and we have lots of ideas for you .

You will need a 40" circular needle size 2,3,4 and sport weight or sock yarn.  Locking stitch markers and a yarn needle.  We will provide a couple of patterns to select from and have lots of yarn to go with. This will be a baby sock project so we can cover all skills during the class.  Stitches used will be long tail or tubular cast on, k2tog,ssk, M1 and kitchener stitch.  You need to be proficient at knitting and purling , stitch recognition and keeping count of rows.

This class can be done as a "toe-up" or "top- down".  Let us know which technique you prefer to learn.
